Truvalue Labs was the first company to apply AI and NLP to provide environmental, social, and governance (ESG) risk metrics for evaluating corporate behavior and performance. It was acquired by FactSet in November 2020.
As an early employee, I worked on all aspects of our design, from the platform to the brand, including a comprehensive redesign of the design system. I also contributed as a developer on a number of special projects, including a research library, internal tools, a public Covid-19 dashboard, and a developer site.

Truvalue Platform Redesign
Truvalue Labs needed to redesign the platform UI to better fit into the ecosystem of financial research tools our customers were already using. Our customer base was accustomed to dense, data-heavy interfaces with darker UIs, and many institutional investors did not yet trust or understand ESG data. We wanted to promote the impression that ESG data could be as serious and relevant as traditional metrics, and this update was a step towards leaving behind a lightweight SaaS skin and setting the stage for rich analytics features.
